JJ Preston and Michael Beachwood are experienced, professional wedding specialists. They have been involved in more than 4000 Maui weddings since 1997.

Having been happily married for more than 13 years, JJ and Michael say that marriage is something they highly recommend! For them, each Maui wedding ceremony that they perform is unique and special. Sunset beach weddings on Maui are one of the most popular places to tie the knot! Most of the wedding sites chosen are on the West and South sides, as they are the leeward sides, with less wind and the most stunning sunset views!

Michael & JJ have a number of wedding and vow renewal ceremonies from which to choose. You may also customize your service, adding to their ceremony any special passages or verses that are meaningful to you.

Both JJ and Michael blow the traditional Hawaiian Conch Shell. Hawaiians traditionally blew the conch shell to signify great cultural events and in ancient times, would blow the shell to announce the arrival of royalty. Today, in modern Maui, they are blown at sunset to usher in the evening twilight, and blown to begin a wedding ceremony, and to end the ceremony as the bride and groom kiss! They are also used in blessings and all cultural and political events.

Singers - Musicians...

It is very well known to Maui's wedding community that JJ and Michael can melt your heart with a romantic wedding song... that is how they began doing Maui weddings. They realized so quickly, that performing music for weddings was more enjoyable than any other venue... so they made it their number one calling in 1997! Officiating as ministers was a natural progression, as they love the wedding experience so much, and they have found it to be even more spiritual and fulfilling than singing music! Now JJ and Michael have combined their talents for both. You can have either officiate your ceremony, and if you desire music... (highly recommended)... then you may have the other sing your favorite romantic songs! JJ sings and plays keyboard and flute, Michael sings and plays guitar. Your choices are limitless with one or both of these very talented ministers and musicians.

Music adds so much to your ceremony! JJ and Michael sing all styles of music, including pop, classical, folk, country, R&B. JJ's keyboard has an incredible church organ voicing that sounds better than most local church organs! Your processional with keyboard organ can be a very profound and memorable grand entrance. Having either JJ or Michael sing your favorite special song can also bring so much more meaning and emotion to your ceremony!
